Historically a boudoir was a woman’s private sitting room or salon, although the word could also refer to her private bedroom. It was largely because of the writings of the Marquis de Sade (1740-1814) that it acquired something of a racy overtone. Boudoir photography is an intimate, romantic and private style of portraiture primarily for the private enjoyment of the subject and her partner. For this reason many clients choose not to make their images public. I always take your confidentiality very seriously and abide by your wishes. All the images I show on this site appear with the express consent of the subject.
